Hey there! I’m Jillian, owner and planner for Jillian Rose Events. I was born and raised in a small town in eastern Connecticut, where I played soccer competitively growing up and into my college career. I always thought I would go into sports medicine or physical therapy, but I truly shocked everyone when I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree specializing in wedding planning. We can thank TLC Four Weddings, Say Yes to the Dress, and the entire Bachelor franchise for my change of heart! I started my full-time career in event planning ten years ago in Hartford, CT as a Wedding Sales Manager for a top venue in the state. Then, in a strange turn of events I married my sister’s husband’s brother, who also happened to be the boy from down the street growing up (you can ask me about this later). We spent some time in Florida where I worked as a Wedding Sales Manager at a luxury resort, and we eventually settled in the beautiful state of North Carolina. My New England roots mixed with recent exposure to southern hospitality, compiled with my years of team-oriented background have equipped me with the dedication to get the job done on the wedding day while keeping in mind how important the day is for every single person in attendance. I absolutely love what I do and truly think I was built to be a wedding planner. If I’m not planning, you can usually find me binge-watching old seasons of The Bachelor, reading a Harry Potter book snuggling my dog Maple, or watching the New England Patriots with my husband and son.
